At USIPA, we believe in the transformative power of Intellectual Property (IP) to shape ideas into meaningful realities that improve lives. One of our goals is to build a deeper understanding of IP—what it is, why it matters, and how it drives progress. We aim to inspire innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving across generations.

IP Ecosystem Collaboration
USIPA unites, on a worldwide basis, regional, national, and local stakeholders (creators, enablers, and protectors, among others), bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering a dynamic, efficient, effective, and collaborative Intellectual Property (IP) ecosystem that supports economic growth and promotes social well-being.

Taking IP to Classroom: ILIPA & USIPA Celebrate Launch of Stevenson High School IP Club
The Illinois Intellectual Property Alliance (ILIPA) and United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA) are proud to support the launch of the Stevenson High School Intellectual Property Club, a student-led initiative introducing young innovators to IP, entrepreneurship, and the role of intellectual property in turning ideas into impact.
The inaugural meeting on August 19 brought together 45+ students and featured a keynote by Andrei Iancu, USIPA Board Member, former Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO.
Special thanks to Erwin Cruz, ILIPA Chair and USIPA Board Member, and Brittany Martinez, ILIPA Director and Co-Chair of Corporate IP, for their leadership and support in advancing this initiative. With year-long programming ahead, the club will help build IP literacy and inspire the next generation of innovators.
PARTNER’S SPOTLIGHT Sept 2026
U.S. Copyright Office
This month, USIPA is excited to highlight the U.S. Copyright Office, a critical part of the country’s extraordinary copyright system, tasked with the important mission of administering U.S. copyright law. The Office examines works of authorship for registration; records transfers of ownership for copyright claims; administers several statutory licenses; provides the public with copyright information and education; conducts legal and policy studies; and assists Congress, the courts, and other governmental entities.
To learn more about them and their initiatives, visit their website here or reach out to our Board Member, Miriam Lord, Associate Register of Copyrights and Director of Public Information and Education at the U.S. Copyright Office.
